Drain Cleaning in Grand Junction, CO

Clearing slow and clogged interior drains: sinks, tubs, showers and similar fixtures.

A drain that's slowing down is usually the early warning sign of a clog that will eventually stop it completely. GPS Plumbing & Mechanical clears clogged and slow interior drains, such as kitchen and bathroom sinks, tubs and showers.

To keep this simple and honest: right now we do interior drain clearing only. We don't currently do main sewer line work, sewer camera inspections, root removal or outdoor and underground lines. If your problem looks like one of those, we'll tell you so you can call a company that has the equipment.

Serving Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, Clifton, Delta, Montrose, and the rest of Mesa County.

What's included

  • Clearing clogged and slow interior drains
  • Kitchen and bathroom sink drains
  • Tub and shower drains
  • Basic diagnosis of why a drain is slow

Signs you need this

  • One drain running noticeably slower than the others
  • A sink, tub or shower that won't drain
  • Gurgling from a drain after you run water
  • A clog that keeps coming back at the same fixture

What affects the price

Prices depend on the details, so we don't quote blind. Every job gets a free written estimate before any work starts, so you know the cost up front. Diagnostics are free in the Grand Valley. Outside the Grand Valley, a $79.99 service call fee covers locations up to 50 miles from Grand Junction, plus $2 per one-way mile beyond that. The $79.99 is credited toward the work if you go ahead with the repair; the additional mileage is not credited. Here's what usually drives the cost:

  • Which fixture the clog is in and how easy it is to reach
  • How far into the line the blockage is
  • Whether the problem is one fixture or several
  • If the clog turns out to be a symptom of a larger problem

Drain Cleaning questions

Do you clear main sewer lines or do camera inspections?

Not at this time. We clear interior drains only. If several fixtures are backing up at once, or water is coming up in a tub or floor drain when you flush or run a washer, that points to the main line, and you'll want a company that does sewer line work.

Should I use chemical drain cleaners?

We generally recommend against them. They can be harsh on pipes and are hazardous to handle, and they often only open a small channel through a clog instead of removing it. If a drain won't clear, give us a call.

Why does the same drain keep clogging?

A clog that keeps coming back means something is still in the line, such as built-up grease, soap and hair, or debris. We'll look at what is going on at that fixture and tell you what we find.

Is the work warranted?

Our labor is warranted for one year. Parts and equipment are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We do not cover or offer a warranty on customer-supplied material or equipment.
